    Great video guys!!

Did a little cattin down here in Nebraska on Sunday. They sure are fun. I’ll try to get some footage of some blue cats if they show up in their usual haunts this year. Some of the blues we get are up to 15 lbs.

I tried once last winter but struck out. Need to give it another whirl this hard water season when I get the chance. This video helps speed that process along.

Some nice eaters. I’ve been wanting to see about a few kitties on the lake here but I have a hard time finding anyone to come along. I think I’d need a 10 inch hole if I got one of the 20 plus fish here on an ice rod would be a challenge.

Yep, the spot we fish is just packed chock full of those 2-5lb fish. I know a few other places that offer a much better chance at a piggy, but will drive a little further to catch fish all day long. Not only that, even those eaters are more fun to catch that just about anything else MN has to offer.

    It really is a blast!

I wish I was closer Kev, I love to help you out finding those big girls.

I know where they are. I just have limited time to fish and my ice friends all like to fish for perch. I might take a day and just go myself and see if I can get it working.

Saw that video, very nicely done! I appreciate all of the fun videos that get uploaded to DTRO’s YouTube site. Never fail to entertain, and often some good tips too!

    Thanks Darren!

Randy? Is it true that you had 4 flat tires today?

Remember, I know where you live…but I guess you know were I live too.

Looks like a blast. I may have to give it a shot. But people actually fish for cats on purpose?

I loved the recipe that called for stuffing them with 10 lb walleyes then stuffing it with a 5 lb bass and finally a 2 lb crappie. Cant belive how good that crappie was,had to throw the rest out I was so full.

I have a brother that lives in Madison, he would jump at a chance to catch some cats through the ice. He just got serious on cat fishing last year and had very good sucess on channel cats on the Madison lakes. If your looking for an ice fishing partner for cats you could e-mail me and I could give you his name and phone number.

Hi, I just signed up on the site. I’m DaveHo’s brother. I live in Madison, WI and would love to fish for channel cats through the ice in Madison. I just don’t know where they winter on Lake Mendota. I’m mostly a catch and release fisherman for channel cats. I only eat a few smaller ones. If someone knows where they winter and would like to go out together just PM me or post here and I’ll respond. Thanks

    Welcome Jerry!

Whiskerkev should be around soon. He’s the expert over your way.
