Ever since we caught that cat, I have been snooping around the catfish boards, yikes someone save me before it is too late.
Kind of like Luke Skywalker and the dark side of the farce, Evil Empire
Stink bait in the Sparkly Tuffy never

Hey! Leave my dog out of this!
Every once in a while I stumble across a Channel Cat on Pool 2, usually when I’m throwing a crankbait. And I’m always blown away at how hard they fight, how fast they cut through the water, and how long it takes to get them to the boat. if I knew more about it, I could see fishing for them on purpose. They’re fun!

No one does that!
You guys are all welcome in here as long as your fishing with black rods.

OK, what’s the deal with this? You catfish guys and your inside jokes, I tell ya….So what’s the story BK? Cripes I just bought a new rod for Sturgeon fishing and now I find out it’s the wrong color????? I guess I’m going to have to tape it up with black electric tape like a hockey stick
White rods are like training wheels on a bike. Rootski, you ever have fish pull you off two anchors and tow you up stream a half a mile before learning you came to a gunfight with a wiffle ball bat? Then you’ll be hooked.
It is my humble opinion that catfishing is the apex of fishing. You start out with gills and bass, and trout proceed to pike and then eyes and then muskies and then everything is boring when put up next to a big cat and the challenge it takes to find her.

Not yet….PB Sturgeon was 54 inches and that was impressive (to me).
Rootski,
Color coordination is everything in cat and sturgeon fishing.
Kinda like golf…without the shorts.

Nothing wrong with a big sturgeon… Even Farm catches those.
As soon as you catch one, let me know
Never tried for them. Last year I dropped anchor in Lake Monona here and had one about 5 feet long eject from the water right next to my boat. Broke my glasses and got me all wet. I danced with one when I was 14 on the Wisconsin river. I had a zebco 202. Still fought it for 15 minutes before it broke me off. Jumped all over.
Good grief should be in reference to how every thread gets hijacked into a rod color discussion here
Fish smarter not harder boys
So I shouldn’t admit I have both colors? I thought moreyes hijacked his own post.
Leave it to DTRO to make a laugh today. Anyone notice that June finally got here last week. My cats have had lockjaw for the last 3 weeks. I bet that changes oh Friday night.

I would rather talk about barbless circles too.
Go get’em Ryan!!
I used blue rods.
And a couple of brown rods.
Dark blue and dark brown.
Thread hijacking? At IDF?
You gotta be kidding me!
Is it Friday yet???
Shawn
You guys are bunch of sally’s ask Mack my son what kind of rod he likes to use for cats, 5’shorty trolling rod, makes it a sporting fight, gives those kitty’s a fightin chance
Blue rods… I’m not the only whuppin stick lover on the site? Friday just might come early this week with the weather report I am seeing.
No whuppin sticks here.
My blue rods are St. Croix Classic Cats…best catfishing rods I’ve ever seen. I am glad I bought them when I could.
