Cut Bait for August Flats

    I had a couple six pm’s asking about how much sucker to use for cut bait.

    A picture is worth a thousand words so a video must be worth 10 Million.

    Great video now I have to go and sein some suckers. When you hook them don’t you want the hook point exposed.

    Yes. The camera guy didn’t want to get “stuff” on his lens.

    A close up would show the hook went into the body cavity, past the fin bones and then came out in what I would call the neck area.

    I’m going to guess others will have other ways of hooking cut sucker. It’s just the way that works for me and keeps the guts in place as much as possible.

    With cat fishing…there is no one right way.

    This year it’s all been the wrong way for me Great post Brian, I’ve watched alot of big girls come on cut bait the past week or so.
