    I have been having some problems with my 6500 the past couple times out, just wondering if anyone can help. When I have a bullhead on and try to cast it goes out about a yard and then locks up and off goes my bully. I try a couple practice casts after that and it seems fine. Then I hook another bully on and it happens again. I have resorted to holding the button down when i cast which makes it rather difficult. I have tried lube and tightening screws a bit but its still happening. what am I missing?

    It sounds like your spool is to tight? push the trigger,And adjust your spool so the bully slowly drops

    In other words, is your spool engaging when you cast?

    Perhaps hitting the handle while casting, engaging the spool or perhaps casting hard enough to jar the handle into engaging.
