Sturgeon may relate to many structures, but bars are not one of them.

I think Larry and Shamu got in some night fishing last weekend, but don’t quote me on that.

Some of the best Sturgeon fishing on the Rainey comes after dark.
For sure give it a try if you can!.

I wouldn’t go out without a LOW/Rainy River chip from Lakemaster and I wouldn’t go out if it was windy.

That being said, Dress warm, and I bet ya hook a a monster, its a lot quiter on the water night.

WE were out till it got dark, it was pretty difficult conditions where we were, especially the wind.
There are fish after dark for sure, but we had our fill of fishing during the day.

With the tree’s that were passing us during the day this year and the wind in the river I wouldn’t have gone out after dark at least this year.
I do have the LOTW/Rainy chip(it is awesome for those that don’t have it).
Seems like the last three years the fishing shuts down to a crawl around 5pm. So we usually pull off then. Happy Hour!!
It may pick-up later but I have never heard anyone confirm first-hand fishing got better after dark.

Yeah, upriver near Clementson, there were floating trees galore. It was scary in the middle of the day!
