I used to go down there but thats a drive down to fauribault. Northfield would be closer but dont know anywhere for shore access down there and something closer would be even nicer.
I know you can park pretty much anywhere downtown and get to the river. I know guys who used to fish by the Fire/police station. But now we all go to Fairbault.
Cobblestone Lake in Rosemount is where the boy always goes for his. They were on the small side last Summer but they may have gotten some better size by now. There is a nice park a little off 160th street. It is kind of hard to find the first time there.
It is on the north side of 160th almost to Pilot Knob. It is the old sandpit that they converted to a lake. The road kind of winds around and the park is on the north side of the lake. There is a fishing pier at the park and the bullheads were thick in there the last few years. Good luck!
Does anyone know where I can catch bullheads for bait around the farmington/rosemount area?
Farquar Lake in Apple Valley is supposed to have a good population of bullheads. There was a Lake Detective Outdoor News article about it in the October 3, 2008 issue. The lake was full of bullheads and almost nothing else. The City hired the Lake detective to try to fix their problem.
Farquar Lake is pretty close to Rosemount. Give it a shot.
