Hey guys, we got back today and I wanted to toss up a quick report. Overall fishing was a bit slower than the past couple years. We made it up thursday and fished thru yesterday. Thursday the water temps were at 36.6 and as expected the water was moving!!. By yesterday afternoon temps were at 40.3 so rising nice. Biggest problem was the debris in the river and with the flow it made for alot of cleaning. There was less garbage overall out in the bay along with a bit less current depending where you were at and for that reason it was a bit busy out there friday afternoon and saturday. One thing we did notice was it helped alot to stretch out the leaders to a couple feet and keep that bait away from the pile of junk that would build up on your sinkers. hopefully for you all it will clean out a bit but it did not seem to be getting any better. I would say that 4 oz is the lowest you want to go out there.

Good news is the ice around the docks was giving way pretty quick. I would have to bet you can get to them by this weekend. Might not be able to use all of the docks but should be able to at least get to them! I will hear a little more tonight. A few of the guys we went up with were still there today but have not heard how things went. Good luck up there and leave a few for next year

I am having trouble with my pictures right now but will try to post tomorrow. My brother had the biggest fish again this year at 61″ but though #’s were overall low we still managed quite a few over 50″ in the boat so hopefully those big ones hanging out are hungry this weekend also.

All the reports I heard were very similar. Today looked like a much better day though.

There’s a pic of a 66×32 beast that was caught this morning, floating around in the virtual world

I just got back as well. 12 guys in 4 boats. We were up Thu-Sun also. Pretty much the same story as BUSCHMAN. It was pretty slow. We did manage one 65×28 on sunday. Of course it was the guy’s 2nd sturgeon ever…The picture is on someone else’s camera – will post when I can.
Looks like the coming weekend is shaping up nice for all you guys!! Just watch out for the mud

Here’s a few photo’s to get the juices flowing:
