I willbe making my first trip to the Rainy in a couple weeks chasing sturgeon. What kind of a rig do you veterans use? Where do you place the sinker in relation to the hook? How heavy of rod and line? Do you anchor and just let it drop to the bottom or let the current take it a liitle? How heavy of weight do you go with?
I know it’s a lot at once but any input is appreciated:) Hope to see some of you guys up there!
Sounds like you should have attended BK’s sturgeon seminar at the Bluffs Bar & Grill yesterday. I’m sure you as a sturgeon fisherman missed out on all this information and more maybe someone will chime in and let you know the secrets 
Unfortunately I was unable to make the seminar. I planned on going to the SW ones but after they shut-down I had no other options.

You could search Steve DeMars and BrianKs posts…what scratch that. Brian has too many rambling posts.
