Our group is officially two weeks from hitting the river. Per the Clemetson site the Vidas landing is now open and usable. With the nice weather in the forecast, any reason the river won’t be open all they to the head of the lake??
What do you guys think the bite will be like from now. Are we going to be a tad late this year? How long do these fish hang in this area before heading back out to the lake??
Did I mention only two more weeks til the sturgeon dance!! 
Tuesday Wigwam said there was a trickle of open water in Four Mile bay. Some portion should be open by this weekend.
Those little buggers spawn into June and I’m going to bet a quarter that we will have not only better fishing but more comfortable fishing to boot!
Unless we get 12 inches of snow…then all bets are off. 
Kooty, just so ya know the river is open through Baudette and closing in on the mouth as BK said. As for Clementson, they are new owners and by far most are unimpressed at their reporting. I would not really rely on them like in the past. Hopefully as they get river experience things will pick up. As for the sturgen, they are there and i would not be suprised if next weekend might be better??? Im headed up there Friday for the eyes, ill give ya a sturgen report from what i see when i return.

Itchin’ to get out, gonna make the 2009 maiden voyage in the boat down to Everts tomorrow. Looks like the rainy should be open for us! Bringing some good old homebrew up to Wigwam again
