I saw something about this in one of DTro’s videos. What’s the theory here…the rummer mat is gentler on the slime coat and skin the setting the fish down in a carpeted boat?

And, is the pad just an old floor mat?

I think Mr. L Flatcaster had a post on this last year…

Good time to post it again!

I was lucky enough to have Brian Aanderude running camera on a Belle Plaine league night.
Another great way to help take care of the Kitties.

    Thanks Larry..

Great idea, and it is just what I thought it was. Didn’t mean to sound like Denny Green just then…

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but video of a big healthy flathead being released…priceless!

    That rod looks familiar.

I was going to post that video somewhere else when someone asked, but it is not my video to post. Great idea though . Props to Larry.

Just imagine if you could get wal-mart, Bella’s, Bass Pro and Fleet Farm to pick up and sell the “Cat Pad” for ya Larry. I am sure it has to be worth at least a new jet boat

I think it’d be better on the fish than the carpeting, and even if it’s a negligible difference, it’s cool. It should also keep the carpet somewhat cleaner, in theory.
