If only we could do that on inland waters. But we really can’t be trusted with the responsibility of 2 lines.

It’s February. The cold winter has kept the cabin fever at bay, but it is that time of year when I normally get into trouble.

Nah, they are some random unbranded stuff that was made in France, bought em from Ebay.

I personally would be a little cautious about quality when you don’t know what company is making these things. How well does the hookpoint retain sharpness, breakage, bendage, hook eyes straightening, etc, etc.

Not saying that’ll be the case but something to pay attention to until you’ve used them successfully for awhile.

Yeah, I figure they’re worth a shot. I mean, yeah it’s nice to get a hook for 13 cents, but if it totally sucks it’s worth the extra 25 cents to have a brand name. But, you never know until you try it.

I have malt-o-meal marshmallow mateys in my cupboard and a hyundai in the garage, might as well try kahle hooks from france.

It’s early, but I’m nominating you for “Post of the Year” for that one!

    Aanderud,

The ones I caught all my fish on last summer were 7/0 Eagle Claw Kahle’s.

That is the perfect size for legal bait. I keep one rod rigged with a 9/0 or 10/0 for the “almost” legal bait.

Just got my CC order (WOW, faster than ever!). These 10/0 Kahles are in a whole nother category. Can’t wait to try them out!

    Here’s a side-by-side with a 10/0 Gamakatsu Octopus hook.

They are big aren’t they? I rarely use the ones i have. Unless I have a monster sucker I want to toss out.

Holy crap those things are HUGE. I think those might be too big for my 7 inch bullheads…but in states where bigger bait is legal, they might be handy

I think they’ll be fine. I thought a 10/0 Gama looked huge the first time I tried one.

    They will work just fine.
I thought they were huge also when I first used them.
They don’t look that big when they are stuck in the mouth of a hawg.

I used kahles all last year did really well. 7/0 is as big as I go. The bigger ones will work fine with bullheads but if you plan to use any other less hardy bait, the bigger hooks tend kill your bait pretty quick.
