Stop it. White is beautiful. Going green is where the problem is.

    Y’all are killing me!

Does it count if the tip section is painted white? If so, I’m going down

Sorry Shawn…white tipped rods fall into the same class as bells.

Finally a laugh in here. I thought Tuckner was a crying on the outside kind of clown.

Is there some rational basis for any of this, or is it just January?

Matt, the MN and WI DNR’s have been researching this with your fishing license money for several years now. The U of M is going to be radio tagging white and black rods for tracking until the batteries go.

I think that might answer your question…

Ford/Chev Marcum/Vex Jhooks/Circle Black/White rods…it’s a fun way of poking fun at the opposite color while keeping the brand and “my rod is better than your rod” out of it.

    There’s perfect rationale.

When it’s getting dark or even when it’s total dark it’s easier to see a white rod. That’s a fact.

Now if you are a Ron Popeil fisherman (SET IT AND FORGET IT) then it doesn’t matter being able to see your rod, not only that but there’s a chance you might be using the pocket fisherman anyways.

Myself, I prefer to be able to see it so I can decipher what is going on down at the business end.

Thankfully I can escape this debate as my new favorite rods are…… Blue!

I put a request into Quantum to make a Big Cat in fuchsia with sparkles. It’s strictly for high visibility at night, I swear.

That’s fine, but the fact that you’ll use your B’dazzler on it when you get it still bothers me.

Now look at what you did Matt! Dtro took the gloves off!

Matt is the guy that came up with the Wallmart reflective tape.
If you need a white rod to see it at night, you might as will use your white cane or train your seeing eye dog to bark when there’s a bite…Fact is stranger than fiction!!
