This is the very first flathead I caught. At least I thought it was. It’s been a while since I have looked at it and now after misidentifying stonecats as baby flatheads, I wonder if this is indeed a flathead. It was the first thing I thought of when I caught it and I had no idea we had flatheads up this far; It was caught on pool 1.
Now looking at this you have to realize this thing is 12″ max. I am sure that a young flathead transform a little from fry to a fish bigger than this. I don’t know enough about madtoms and such to know if it could be anything else.
Yeah, it’s a slow night.
