Sounds like it wasn’t just me on the ‘sippi. I talked with Larry H last night while he was on the MN River.
At one point I “clapped” my hands together to kill one bug…and there were five in my hand! 
After I had the anchor placed I pulled out the Thermo Cell (these guys should be sponsors). 
Once it was warmed up and running most of the skeeter left although there were a few transients that passed through. I never needed the bug dope.
Then thee were some that forgot there Thermo Cell at home…along with the bug spray. 
I hope that was just last night…one of these times my glasses are going to be knocked off into the river.
