Big Sturgeon

    Someone must have the low down on this one.
    Hager city on the Croix??

    “This group of anglers caught and released this 75-inch sturgeon on the St. Croix River near Hager City, Wis., recently. “Everyone had a hand in getting the big girl on the ice,” said Eric Johnson of Hudson, Wis.. It took them 45 minutes to land the fish. “The fish had another hook, line, sinker and bobber attached to its mouth,” Johnson reported. Left to right, are Johnson, Joe Dawson of Woodbury, Johnson’s 10-year-old son, Mark, and friend Mitch Thompson, also of Hudson.”

    Might be Pepin but that is not the Croix. Might be near Prescott.

    Even a truck on the ice!

    Sounds like the fishermen are protecting the area, or a reporter needs a lesson in geography.

    Maybe it’s just me but it looks like someone photoshopped it together… if you look at the left side it is much darker than the rest of the picture. and the 2 little kids don’t seem to be lifting very hard at all.

    just my 2 cents.
