Here’s a very good video of Dtro and his friends from last years Sturgeon Excursion. And you thought the last video posted was just one good fish…there are MANY of these size fish caught each day…well, the 60″ are a bit scarce…but they are there!
Question for you sturgeon guys….
The first fish that these guys land gets tangled in the anchor.
What does everyone do? Do you pull up the anchors right away or wait to see what the fish is going to do?
The second to the last part of the video shows a worn out Hanson struggling a bit. I’m sure Hanson would recommend someplace else for rod placement while fighting a sturgeon. As you’ll see…these fish aren’t like anything you’ve ever fished for in fresh water!
Lastly, Mr Dtro with his 60 incher.
This is normal fishing at the Sturgeon Excursion.
I’ve been asked to guide for the Excursion. My response is the same…if you have a boat and some good rods, be your own guide. A person could use a trolling motor to get to the fish, but being a bit more mobile is good. This is easy fishing and with a couple sturgeon in your boat, you’ll get better…..at the Sturgeon Dance!
