What can I say.. today between getting some work done, and running odd errands I happened to look at something I caught a glimpse of out of the corner of my eye… My 9′ rod, okuma reel, and a nicely broken in spool of power pro all rigged up with a 1.5 oz bank sinker, 2/0 circle hook, and a couple left-over shad scales that couldnt be any more stuck to the handle if they were inlayed and glued.
I am looking forward to the April Fools cat gathering! Kicking back next to a hot BBQ full of burgers, rod baited and leaning against the railing, and the company of lots of good folks just happy to have a chance to finally get out of the house after another Minnesota winter!
Is it April yet? Ice fishing has its place, but there is still something very wrong with having to drill a hole in a perfectly good lake or river to catch a fish!
