    I could’ve swore there was a Moore’s contest on Sat. I know I wasn’t dreaming sat night….that was Larry

We finally get our butt whooped and everyone is going to let it go by without some ribbing. Come on!

Two big ol fish were caught in the same boat by a couple of guys that really put there time in, and I want to hear about it.

    Details guys…..details.

Don’t pass up the chance to stick it to Larry and I Mostly me because Larry did his part.

I only have one thing to say to you Darren…

    Ha ha

I’ll do my best to have one of my passengers or myself stick it to you next weekend during the sturgeon contest so you dont forget the feeling of failure

Congrats on the run of so many contest won/placed!

I don’t know about ribbing to me it’s like Tiger Woods taking second or the Patriots not winning the Super Bowl….

Speaking of the Patriots do you think there is any chance they were taping you guys illegaly they did beat you guys on your “larrys” home turf…..

Watch it there pal! I am the only one who clonks, well I did before it was swindled. It was good enough to dethrone those 2 clowns earlier in the year.

Maybe you two should “clonk” together down at black dog.

well sure, if you consider taking 3 out of 4 places a dethroning

Not only that, I think if I recall correctly “Mr. Clonk” didn’t register a fish

I was right with you on saturday Dtro. I only had one bite. Kyle manages several bites and one fish, along with plenty of zz’s. I stayed awake until 1 am and we headed home.

I would have to say Team Dtro/Flatcaster still own these contests. They have more 1st and 2nd finishes than anyone. I guess they had an off night(or Dtro has been spending too much time on the Croix ), and we were at the right place at thr right time.

Details and pics tonight when I get some time after work.

Because I was busy being a good partner and calling the fish with the clonk.

And rushing I never fish that side of Blackdog.

A tip of the Hat and a passing of the torch is in order for Flaco and Riverhog!!!
You guys boated some beauties, Besting my 26lb and 24lb Flat for second place.
The big ones were biting that day, and you guys had the right formula!!!
Looking forward to next year the contests have been great with a lot of awesome fisherman coming out to give it a shot.

    It went something like this…

We were at our first spot of the evening and I was trying to get a decent channel on the board. The first hour at this spot was pretty slow…until I noticed my rod slowly loading up. Normally the channels just slam it and hook them selves while fishing a tight line, but this was different. Took the rod out of the holder and felt something slowly swimming away with my shad. Gave it a side sweep and hooked up.

At first it was just heavy dead weight slowly moving, no head shaking or nothing. I thought for a second it might be a large turtle until it was almost straight down from the boat. Thats when she must have realized she was hooked. The fish started pumping the rod hard and I couldn’t really get the fish off the bottom 25 feet below. When I would gain a little ground the fish would burn out a little line. The fish finally surfaced and we saw a nice Flat! It was out of nets reach and she tried to take another power run to the bottom. As I was bringing it back to the surface I was telling her to “stay on…stay on”. Riverhog said “we gotta get the net on her this time” before it pops off. She surfaced, and we slid her in the net!

Nice pig Flaco! You’ll have that fresh in your memory when the ice comes. The winter might be a little easier on you.

Yep, thats true. After numerous flatheads this year I finally get a nice one with time running out. Now I can switch my focus to sturgeon for a while.
