We had a clear winner last night!

To make it fair Dtro and I switched one rod each…so I was sitting out there with one white rod. No…it didn’t bother me when the bass fishers came by…they didn’t say anything..they just pointed and laughed. You could hear the word “Sally” giggled when you listened closely.

Using a wide assortment of baits we ended up with a few fish. Certainly didn’t get close to starting a record of fish landed. I think this was attibuted to the reflection of the white rods on the water. Not sure though.

    One ten pound channel…Black Rod
    One ten pound carp……White Rod
    Two little sturgeon…..Black Rod

Now here’s where it gets confusing. The Pool 4 Crappies were on a tear last night! Many misses but 6 ended up in the boat…but I can’t recall what rods they came in one.

Now don’t blame me! When a couple guys run into some 12 to 18 inch crappies it’s easy to forget who’s doing what…not to mention the fight these guys had!!

Dtro should have some pics up of the Channel, Carp and Crappies soon.

It was a very good time fishing with you Darren. We’ll do it again sometime when we can concentrate on catching fish instead of picking on each other.

Ps…I believe all those things you said about Larry.

Gee, they (Crappies) must put up a great fight on 80PP and a pool cue.

I can hear it now. DTRO Quote” Yeah….. The white rods really don’t work as well as the Black ones. Everytime I fish with Him (Larry) he out fishes me.”
Look on the bright side mate. Redemption is right around the corner.

Sorry guys. My camera bit the dust in a recent down pour.

Once Dtro posts the pics…I’ll be more than happy to post the location.

So…put some pressure on the ol crappie slayer.

so yeah, I hook into this fish (or was it you Brian, I can’t remember). Anywho, this thing comes up really quick and I’m like, than aint no sturgeon. Brian’s response was, “hey it’s a crappie”. I was like wow!
After that happened and we figured out the pattern, it was like child’s play. Missed a bunch of hogs, but connected on a nice double…..probably should’ve saved em for the wall.

Here they are, Pool 4 fall slab crappies
(Brian K said that on Pool 4 they go through a winter plumage and lose their spots) I’ve never seen that happen on any other body of water

Brian got his fish of a lifetime with this monster smallie:

and we even managed a nice 10lb kitty:

I was wondering why you were going to give up the location so easily. I was had. Don’t feel too clever though. It’s not hard to fool me. Just ask Bob Moore.
