    Sinkers I\’m talking about here!

Since there isn\’t any current to speak of on the Croix are you guys using anything smaller than 3 oz?

I\’m not sure if size really matters when it comes to a slip sinker…although the line gets tight using a circle hook…so the fish should at some point feel the sinker weight…but in my experience it doesn\’t seem to make a difference(?)

I used 2 ounces quite a bit last fall and it worked just fine.

Same here, even 1 1/2 some days. I only used 3oz when it was windy or choppy. Way better bite detection the lighter weight you can go with and NOT have your bait dragging around.

I also suggest bank sinkers to others, especially if using super lines. No-rolls have a tendency to wrap up the leader which will result in a *pegged* weight which makes for worse bite detection, and fewer fish. The bank sinkers drop like a bullet, not like a spinner blade(no-rolls).

Agreed on the bank sinkers. When you\\\’re dropping 30+ feet, No-rolls twist up a lot.
