    Another old Friend “John”

And even the guy that will drive you nuts(never stops talking)… and always seem to knock something out of the boat, or break something on every trip!

These are just highlights of a few of the great days in the 45 day season of 2006!

How can anyone not enjoy this?

Dave, we would just have been in the way. You did awesome! One hand holding the rod…one bringing in the other rod then switched to bringing in the back anchor..then grabbing the net…all in one motion!

On another subject, I heard there was a new tv show about cavemen…filmed out of LaCrosse.

    Nice mess of fish Dave!

Nice post! I got to get out and do that this year. Looks like I need to read up on techniques to catch these guys. All I know is a gob of worms or cutbait on the bottom. Is it true that some of these guys breach the water when hooked?

Oh, I just saw BK is giving a seminar. I’ll have to go incognito.

Are you sure you want any bait that has been jinx by my touch? Ask Bob Moore. Ask Tony (Gocatfish). It’s frick’en uncanny. Good thing they are softies and feel bad enough for me to accompany me to the river.

He’s right Brian! I’ve seen it first hand. Don’t let him touch the bait

Alright, who’s the funny guy who took Dave’s picture? If that isn’t a “Hey Dave is that a eel on your line or are you just happy to see Brian” joke waiting to happen… Not that I would ever say such a crude, loutish thing.

Pug…I’ve figured it out. There isn’t enough help out there for you!

Dave to you have that Eel nesting spot marked? I’ve met some people that would love to take some eel home..but they want them alive. Something about makeing sushi is better from a live eel…and the wiggle factor.

Mmm, Unagi! I will be excepting deliveries this fall. The eels must be put on ice immediately and do not dress them. To clarify to Brian, dressing means to gut the fish not put them in a cute pink skirt).

No problem Brian! Any eel that comes into my boat will be promptly put into your bait tank following each trip.. I’ll keep them good and lively for you!

Any plans for a Sturgeon contest this year?

I just need a heads up because I work weekends.

Can’t wait for the season to start…no honey-do lists from Sept 1 – Oct 15th! (At least that is my plan).

Thanks Larry, found it. I’ll have to try to pull that one off.

Sept. 22nd. (I count 5 Saturdays in Sept and this is on the 4th Sat).
