    And they are only 6.95!

It’s called a Jaguar…and it’s made for filleting fish. What make this differant and IMO better is that it has a serrated (sp?) blade AND a regular blade combined.

Ever have trouble getting the cut started on a sucker?

The serrated portion of the blade starts the cut and the regular blade finishes it.

I picked up one from Everts last fall and didn’t have a chance to use it until this year. Works slick.

Heck, if he would have passed ’em to me last fall…I could have saved $7 bucks.

Is there any way I can get Hanson’s teeth to do a cameo in IA, my river’s going to come up seven feet in the next two days, don’t think I’ll be fishing ‘eyes for a while.

But just think how easy they’ll be to catch when the river goes down and they get trapped in house basements and puddles around town.

So Brian, the serrated part cuts through the rib bones real well? $7 is a good deal for a fillet knife and there’s no reason to get crazy when using it for cut bait. And the GF is getting sick of me taking cutlery from the drawer.

Pug…I think what your talking about is driveway fishing.

The serrated portion cuts through the ribs very easily.
But I like it because when I grab a sucker and try to get it to the cutting board with out dropping it…I have a heck of a time trying to get it to hold still for the first cut. This portion of the blade “digs” in. The regular sharp portion of a knife has to get under the scales first. Not a big deal, just one of those things that makes fishing a bit easier.

A serrated edge on a knife comes in handy when your bait is still partially frozen too.. nothing like having bait along and not being able to use it.

When it comes to live suckers, I usually lose at least one every trip because I don’t get a good grip. But that’s another subject.

Didn’t you hear? Someone stole my tackle box up north…they pulled out the clonk and left it on the ground where the tackle box was. I think he did that out of respect, because he knew how priceless those are.

I think they left it because they didn’t want to touch it!

Seriously? They took your tackle but left the clonk?

Lucky you didn’t have your dvd in the box…they might be back for it!

Actually, they took the clonk too. The only satisfaction I got was thinking about the look on their face when they saw that thing. Considering they were thieves He/She/They are probably using it for other things.
I was more upset that someone would actually do that. The tackle will be easy to replace First trip to Bob Moore’s for swivels, sinkers and circle hooks. I love cat fishing. But the fact that someone has the nerve to think what’s mine is his. Had I caught them in the act, that clonk would have ended up in a place that would have been hard to explain away in an emergency room.

Oh yeah, back to cut-bait fillet knives.
