It would be a good day/evening to sneak out of the house and fish near any creek mouth or storm drain and take advantage of some good channel cat action, maybe even a bonus flathead!

Minneapolis got over 2″ of rain last night. With the previous rain just a couple days ago, the baitfish and fish should be very keyed in on the inlets.

    They might be keying in….
There will no doubt be a bite ,but the fast run off that these storms are have been producing, Inlets and creek feeds will not be the only place fish are grouping. Unless you find an inlet that will maintain above average flow for more than 24 hours.
The rivers will be so charged from the massive run off every where anyway that the bait may continue to hang where they are at.

What is Ideal is when you get a slow long soaker. Don’t jack the river level, but instead feeds the creeks over a period and then makes those structures more enticing. Give it a period of about a week if they are still running off. Then you will see some good action.

    Good luck
Dave has offered some good advice. If your not getting the results your looking for. Mix it up.

Good! You had it coming after you jinxed me with that turtle the other night! It was a mean sucker too!

I couldnt make it out today… I had other things to tend to. I will be checking in on the local storm drains sometime in the near future.
