Went for flatheads on the Minnesota last night. Went up from the US101 bridge in Shakopee. Two little guys, nothing decent. Used bullheads for bait. Is the fishing pressure less above or below the US101 launch?

The fishing pressure is the same in that area. If boats can get there you there will be people fishing. Just remember that just because they are fishing doesn’t mean that they are catching anything.
Good job on the smaller guys. The big ones will start coming around soon.

I think I talked to you last night as you were leaving. Was it about 1:30am?

Caught three nice decent one from shore around black dog last night on bullies. That’s not counting the one miss hook. Got him right up to shore and he came off! Damn so close!

What are you classifying as nice decent. 5lb 10lb bigger?
Way to go on the action. Its fun when you get flats from shore.

Sure was. I was in the Lund. It was a real active night. We could hardly sit down before another real would click. It must have been smaller fish messing with the bullheads though, because they wouldn’t take off with it. The two fish we caught were probably 28-30″.

Sorry Larry I’m to new to catch a fifty yet. All mine where only from 10 to 25 lbs. Still where fun to catch. I did have one bigger one on got it close to the shore where I could see it and it came off!!! Man did that feel bad

Oh yeah what digital camera’s do you guys use. I finally developed the film on the disposable I take out and it turned out ok but still darker looking pictures.

I have an Olympus FE-110. It was just over $100 last year. You don’t need a high end camera, that’s for sure, unless you plan on having them developed to film. Mine is fairly scratched up and thats exactly why I got a low end camera.

My No 1 camera is the Kodak Easy Share. My last No 1 camera continually turns on…off…on…off…I think it got wet one too many times.
Nothing like digital…keep taking pics until you know you have a good one!

PS a flat in the 20’s is a very nice fish!

I had a Canon PowerShot A40 – awesome camera, very old by today’s standards – 2.0 megapixels. But the optics and the flash were great. I have a Samsung now – 6.0 megapixels – not as good. Anyway, the Canon got retired this year after getting so dirty that I had to take it apart again (lens would get stuck). Got it cleaned out well, but the whole putting it back together thing wasn’t as smooth this time. I did that two years ago, very successfully, but this time the little wire ribbons didn’t hold up.
