I hooked up with Stuart for a quick day time trip to some cat holes yesterday…dang…sunburned my shoulders and I haven’t a clue how to explain that to my wife! 
Anyway…since many catch channel cats with a blue coloring to them…and call them Blue Cats.
I’m thinking this was a 3 pound Black Bass that Stuart landed.
