    I was about to give up for a while after a pair of skunks on Friday and Saturday nights……

    But Mr. Special talked me into a fourth consecutive night on the river last night.

    So I threw about 12 to 15 bullies in the bucket and headed to the river thinking I was wasting my time.

    We agreed we were going to get off the water by 12 regardless of the action since we all had to work today.

    Totals for the night

    7 flats on 12 runs (6 between 8 and 15 pounds and one bigger one that I can’t remember the dimensions on…Phil help me out here)
    2 sheephead
    1 whitebass (17.5 inches)
    1 gar

    Let’s just say that I am amazed by this river at times. That was the most action I have ever had in a 4 hour outing on the river.

    Unbelievable……and we ran out of bait at 11:30.

    Flats don’t all spawn at the same time….

    Dimensions on our biggest was 39″x23″ and #27lbs

    No problem. Sorry I didn’t bring more bait.

    I’ll post the pictures of your bigger one when I get them off the camera. I have to post the pictures of the 43 pounder I got on Thursday as well. That’s my second over 40 this year……and about the 7th or 8th out of my boat.

    The flat WWG is holding(2nd pic) was caught on a previous night and weighed in at 43.5#… I caught 3 little guys from 8-12# before that monster hit… Nice fish Guys!

    Alright.. I am due for a big fish myself! I think WWG handed me his curse from earlier in the year where everyone else in the boat got the big fish!

    Oh, is that the pig with the bullet holes in the head that lumpy and I have also caught this year? They’re prolly pretty much healed up by now, eh?
