Gloves? I need stinking Gloves!

I hope to get up the photos later today…Last nights 31 pound personal best…and first flat caught by Rodman’s friend Troy gave me the normal flathead burn with it twisted as I was removing the hook.
Then Troy’s 14 pounder gave a (what seemed like) never ending twist with my fingers in it’s mouth that “sanded open” a nice wound on the top of my knuckle and the underside of my index finger.

That sucker is sore today! Anyone know of a topical numbing agent for these painfully annoying scraps? I’m wearing gloves tonight…I don’t care what people say.

    Alcohol or hydrogen peroxide.
My dad always used benzoin but I dont know where to get it anymore. That stuff works great but it burns like heck and is sticky afterwards.

Alcohol! and if you can find some Vicatin, Perkaset or other outstanding pain killer!

Brain don’t worry about the gloves, maybe you can get some to match your shirt?

When I catch big fish, pain does not seem as bad. I would try that

That sure is a nice picture of a German Shorthair in the picture. I know that spot

The 38lber I landed last Friday chopped down hard on my hand right as I was releasing her boat side.

    Did you scream?

I used anti-bacterial and a band aid over night.

Ask Larry about the 21 pounder he and I pulled in last night hand over hand due to a reel malfunction!!!

Now that’s where the gloves are really needed…….

    How are the hands Larry????

I’ve called BrianK a lot of names, but never once did I think Sillynanny would be necessary, for shame Brian, for shame.

I hear salt works well! Its supposed to toughen up the skin for future trips.. give it a try!

My advice from years of experience hurting myself is to soak it in “cider”.

I normally use salt and then rinse it out with lemon juice. Do this every 15 minutes until it stops hurting. Hope this helps. Chris

Call me slow…but after thinking about this for 5 hours…I got it!

So, in your experiance do I need a pint or liter of Jose Quarvo and do I take it before or after the salt and lemon juice???

How do your wounds look after those 5 hours of repeating this until the light bulb went on?

    HAH!
As a kid, we always debated whether a cut was bad enough to tell Pop or not………because if ya told Pop, out came the iodine to “clean it up”……

As a matter of fact, my gloves DO stink! I love that smell. I’m skipping a perfectly good polker game tomorrow night just to add a few more layers of slime on my gloves. Nice to have a landing net right there in your back pocket.

These young catlads will someday find they could have used a pair after they catch a spine, a hook, or drop a nice fish on its head in the bottom of the boat

    I’m there for ya BK
