Went out to Cade’s turf this morning to try a little day fishing (ya I know ) for some kitty fish’in.

My buddy’s son-in-law invited us to try some holes he knew -turned out to be quite a guide

After cathing a dozen sunnys we hit a hole, anchored and set up.

Sat there for about 30 mins…had a couple of runs and I had one come off about 30ft off the boat

5 mins later Mike had a pick-up…let her run for a bit ..then set the hook…now Mike is not a stranger to bigger fish-we used salmon to and trout fish on Lake Michigan often…but he was quite suprised how hard she fought….

As you can see…he was quite happy

I’m not the best picture taker – the fish looks smaller than it was … but ……it was a good day.

    Ha ha…

well you were a couple miles south of “my turf” but still good stuff down there. Garuntee you would catch a bunch of good bass flipping the stuff right behind you there

wait did I say that on the internet

Bret’s right, there are some big catfish in the area. I’ve witnessed several over 40 lbs.
