Hope you guys aren’t kissing these fish. You never know where these fish have been or who caught them in the past…remember what happened to one of the last ones BK kissed?

    Nice fish Marc!

So that was the fish harassing my bait the short time I was there!

Is that a scrape I see on the left side of the back of the fish??

Glad you got to hook up! Congrats!

Thanks everyone! Yeah they sure smell good! This one was pretty beatup on his head.

Dave- Yeah that one was definatly in the area for a couple hours prior to hitting. The rods we had out were all going nuts until I pulled her in then they went still. About 10 minutes after the release the rods started bouncing again.

Once again thanks for the assist and net job Beave (Steve), and thanks for coming back again Pierbridge (Gary)

Awesome fish, Marc! Interesting description of how he was scaring your baits both before and after you caught him. Hey yeah, I agree with the avatar change comment. Sturgeon are ‘so last month’, especially when you have such a nice lookin cat to display…

Never a good sign to have a bullhead comfortable enough that you can’t see him twitch’en the line. That is when I am ready to move, if my bullhead hasn’t danced for me in an hour or so. Something should have scared him in that amount of time. Plus, it’s a little more entertaining seeing the rod tip dance as you anticipate the rod bending at any moment.

A few bullheads would be welcome, I have to “Guide” the work guys for a few of those “other” baitfish with the white spot on their tail, I think they call them wallys or something like that

    Does Rainy Lake have Flatheads
