Since Audemp stared up a thread on flathead photos, I thought I make one for carp photos (and since there’s not a dedicated carp board). So, let’s see them…rod & reel, bow & arrow, spear…show ’em all!!!

The spawn hasn’t hit full-force on our lake yet, but I managed to hit a few yesterday. I only managed to get one in the boat, though (I’ll have to try a different tip next time). Lots of fun, and I am still amazed at the size of carp we have. This one is very average for what I saw/shot yesterday. Sorry, I didn’t measure or weigh it. She’s holding a little extra baby weight, as you can tell

My big boys (or should I say girls) come from a lake near New London, MN.

I can’t bring myself to lick a carp. Maybe after a bunch of beers, but I doubt it

    Not the Horseshoe Chain.

That bear appeared at the cabin last fall and it still freaks me out in the morning sometimes. Not that it’s big, but you think it’s some type of animal scrounging around the yard

I finally went out after carp with my fly rod and it only took 10 minutes to hook my first one but it popped off after a short battle. The very next drift I hooked into this one and castandblast landed it for me after a nice fight.

It is my fav pic because it is on a fly!

Very cool, Aaron! I don’t fly fish, but I think taking one on a fly rod would be neat!

Did you blur the background to protect your favorite carp spot?

Hey, man. Really choice carp water is tough to come by. I’d never reveal my spot.

I was going to make fun of that too, but I then thought, if you would do it for a spot you caught any other fish, why wouldn’t you do it for a good carping hole? Given a choice, I’d reveal a walleye spot before I’d reveal a good carp spot.

When A guy advertises where he catches a fish then it is more likely to be fished by others. Sometimes it is hard to find these spots and If you look close at my pics almost every fishing pic has been altered if it is obvious where I am. I work hard for my spots and do not want to give them away. When people find out that I fish they always ask how big my biggest walleye is…..I respond that I do not go after those bottom feeders. I am proud to say I mostly fish for roughfish. But I do fish for anything!

Hey guys! I say you up there fishing tonight. I was the guy up on the pier with the Blue glow rod. I’ll have to stop and say hi sometime.

It always seems like castandblast and I will go out and I will catch a fish in proportion to the fish he catches….

Mike I hope you miss this!

But this pic was a couple days before my carp on a fly same honey hole and yes I will tell you where the walleye or bass are hitting but not the carp, sturgeon, cats, red horse ect.

    Happy fishing O4F

Where are the koi pics I expected to see? Thought I saw one that was arrowed on a different board or under a different topic. Let’s get that one in here!

Was that thing really that bright of an orange or was it enhanced (PhotoShopped), the camera or the lighting?

Nope, that photo is untouched. It was really orange.
