Believe it or not…yesterday I had the pleasure of riding with Dean of Everts Resort…yup, Mr Hospitality himself!

After I watched him pitch blades, hair jigs and other assorted walleye fair…we settled down and pitched out a crawler, put the rods in the holders and took it easy.

It was my first time catfishing with $300. St Croix rods! They were so thin..that I “set the hook like Sally Ann” was Dean’s quote of the day.
I just didn’t want to break one of those little things!

    Above is Dean’s first channel.

Next it was my turn for this little guy.

I know…what your thinking…but my Favorite Wife bought the shirt for me about 4 years ago…and now she’s selling it at a garage sale. I figure as much as she paid for it, I’m going to wear it at least ONCE before she sells it for a nickle!

    Atta Boy Dean!,
You got the system down, wear the dark glasses to protect the innocent when holding a CAT

I don’t know why, but something about that pic brings to mind a touch of cajun seasoning and mmmmm good

Deano missed a good one. He wasn’t using a rod holder and caught his ($300.) St Croix on the way out the boat. Let it be known that I did warn him about that possibility…

That fish was kicking his butt, until it came of the hook. Sure wish we could have seen it.

On the way back in, he got the walleye urge again when he saw some rip rap and we trolled cranks along the break.

I guess I thought walleyes were a little longer and less wide.

Thanks Dean, it was a pleasure to relax with you!

Save the shirt for next years Sturgeon Excursion….it would definitely tie in to the “atmosphere”…..

    Brian,
Good job getting Dean out of the office. I know that was not an EASY task..

Dean, Very nice Channel, I would say IT looks like you might cross “OVER TO THE DARK SIDE” . Naw, that could never happen….

Either that or skin. Not quite warm enough for the skin yet.

And here I thought Dean wasn’t the kinda guy to be out cattin around. Brian, I’ll give you a nickel and raise it a nickel for the shirt. I know a guy who is brave enough to where it for an internet pic so I’d like to give it to him.
    Thanks, Bill

I don’t think it’s big enough for HOF….in looking at the lower buttons…I may have put on a pound or two too…since the FW bought it for me.

Not even the Costa sunglasses could tame down the colors of that shirt.

A nice change of pace and a very relaxing afternoon of fishing.I am in definite need of beefing up the rods and reels for those kitty cats though.

    Thanks for the afternoon!

Brian, what the heck are you doing to Dean!!!

First you take him cattin, then you put him in a dress shirt and tie?

Leave Dean be Dean, we like him the way he is!

Dean is the person who runs Everts resort, and a guy you should problably get to know. He knows the river like the back of his hand, and can point you in the right direction for just about any species. Everts is also a site sponsor

I come in here for the first time in a couple days and what do I find? BK is claiming to dress Dean.

I might not be back for awhile. That mental picture needs time to fade.

No doubt James. There’s a real bunch of sickos that hang around this forum.

What’s sick is that he has the look of a kid who got his hand caught in the cookie jar or who’s parents came home early and turned on the lights!
