With the yesterday’s weather, I decide to stay close to town. After work ran to Moore’s for some bullies, and was down at MillRuins by 6:30pm.
Armed with a dozen bullies, my new Boss4 and a new net from Bob’s also. I was ready to rumble.
At about 8:30pm had my 1st run. Boy, was I every quick to jump out of the Jeep. Grabbed the rod, turned off the clicker, cranked the handle and gave her Heck. Solid hookup 
, “ask anyone that fishes with me, Hookups are very rare”. After a very short fight, had her next to the railing. Turns out it was only a very hungry #6 Channel 
Not that a #6 channel is a bad fish, but when that clicker goes with bully on the end. Your thoughts are always on new State Record Flatty.
Stayed out till 9:30pm, but that was the only run of the night.
All in all, better then being skunked for a 1st outing.
