    Heads up all! The 1st event of the Moores bait contest/league is going to be Saturday, May 5th.. or just a couple weekends away from now!

    Check out the rules in the Tournament HQ forums. Last year was a blast, this year with the expanded area it should be even better!

    Early May can be a consistant producer of big fish of both species, so this event might prove to be an important event in the season payouts.

    hmmm.. it cost $20 for an excuse to fish all night if you wish, and a very good chance to come out of it with a profit! Does anyone need more of an excuse?

    I’m in on this one as well as the others. This will be my informal registration for the first event…I’ll check in at Moore’s next Friday and drop off my entry fee to make everything official.

    Dtro is too lucky to get knocked too far down the totem pole I wouldnt doubt his wife will force him to fish the events with expectations of extra income

    I will be doing all I can to dissapoint her!

    I’m hoping I can make it… I probably won’t know until that morning, but I’ll do everything I can (including laundry and dishes!) to make sure I’m in the running!

    I think you must have me mixed up with my partner in crime, didn’t he split his winnings 50/50 with the wife.

    I will have a better grasp of my schedule after our cat league meeting tomorrow night.

    One question though. At what point does this “lucky” title wear off

    You will know when your luck changes, trust me! I know you have the *skills* to get on fish regularly, but there will come a time its always your partners line that gets hit instead of your own… or worse yet, the fish will bite except when your there!

    Our success as fishermen are all reliant upon the *fish gods*.. and they have a pretty extreme sense of humor! Who knows when any of us may get the 10# curse.. thats when all of our flatheads for an extended period of time are 10# and less… then of course there is the *Dark30 Monkey* that has been known to leave people fishless for months on end. Occasionaly they like to do really odd things similar to making 5 eels come into a boat within a week.

    Jim Carey made a true statement in one of his movies that would describe the *Fish Gods*… it went something like this.. ” Sometimes the Gods(not attacking religeon folks) are like a mean kid sitting on top of an ant hill with a magnifying glass “

    Thats what the deal is If I fish all these contests……

    An important HEADS UP here…

    Bob Moore has cancelled the contest/league. It was news to me pointed out to me by one of the other catfishermen this morning.

    I dont have any further comment.

    There are other contest to be announced for this summer… those will happen on the dates at the locations set.
