This is my biggest to date, caught 10/4/07 length 57″.
Caught above the Taylors Falls dam on the St. Croix.
I fish alone alot of the time so no one to take my pic. Just me and my cell phone camera.

Yea, i thought it to be a fat one also. I’ve caught many of them snakey little 3 footers though none with meat like this one.

The nose looks shorter to me too? Maybe it’s because of the chunkiness.

    Nice fish Tyler.

Thumbs up to the fish and the white rod.

Mine is blue when I turn it on and green when it’s dark. It’s more ivory all the other times. Absolutely not white.

    Nice fish Tyler!

Aquajoe took Karl(Mrkeb) and I out for our last trip this past Sunday. The bites were fairly consistent. I think we probably got a total of 7 or 8 in the boat. The bite seemed to pick up around 5:30 or 6. My only fish was 45″x16″, which was my best this season. That one did a really nice jump for me! Later, Joe had one on his line, so Karl was getting the net and than realized his rod was doubled over. So, Joe managed to bring his in and then went to help Karl with his. We knew it was going to be a big one. So, we reeled in the rods, brought up the anchors. I just barely got the front one up in time! It was moving our boat pretty quickly. By the end, it looked like he moved us at least 100ft from where we were!! So,it put up quite a fight! Joe’s was 43″x16″ and Karl’s was 56 1/2″. I don’t recall the girth, but it was pretty thick! His goal was to get a 50″, so this was his PB! After not having much luck this season, it was a great way to end it! Thanks again for taking us out Joe! Here’s the pics. I think the head on shot, looks kinda gross, but oh well!

No, that head shot is cool! Kind of make the fish look like he has a nasty overbite and bucked teeth!

Glow Sticks are in a category of their own.

    Black Rods
    White Rods
    and then there’s
    Glow Sticks!

Tylor? That’s a Calvin Kline shirt?? I thought that stood for Chick??

Very nice fish guys and girls!

Besides a few winter channels from P4 and Horeshoe…it’s clean up and restock for spring.

I hate when I say that!

His lady must dress him…mine does. Not dress him, but me.
So glowsticks in a category of their own? Good, bad, goofy? I still like anything graphite, but for some reason I’ve grown fond of my glowstick. There’s an open door.

Anything that I still have that was once wore in high school has graduated to now be fishing apparel.

PS. I own 2 glow sticks, but I was not using them on this particular outing. I stuck my buddies with them. I don’t mind them for catting, but I prefer the sensitivity of graphite for the Sturgeonfish.

Better late than never…here’s my new personal best lake sturgeon caught on the Croix on 10-14-07. A chunky fish that measured in at 49.5″.
