I would like to thank all of the great IDA members for organizing the Sturgeon Excursion earlier this month. It was the greatest example of “quit wishing and go fishing” I have ever witnessed. I was up there with my wife and two brothers and we had a whale of a time ( we were the ones in the Tracker who were high-fiving… even after a 36 incher). I was hoping to meet more of you guys and gals up there, but we were after those beautiful pointy snouted buggers so hard that I think our earliest night off the water was around 10:00 PM ( with the exception of Monday when he headed for home early after waking up to 29 degrees, wind, snow and icy boat seats). I am looking forward to next year and hope to see you on the river and lakes this summer. Again, my hat is off to you guys who really know how to do it!!

Ditto for me… I had a great time and I met quite a few members. Brian K. deserves an “atta boy” for coordinating our get-together! I’m already looking forward to next year’s Sturgeon Excursion. MIKE

Stop rubbing it in I wish I could’ve made it, sometime it’s hard to explain to people that it’s going to be fun, no matter what. I need to win a lottery or something so I don’t need a job other than fishing anymore.

BTW every IDA get together is a blast keep your eyes peeled there is always one in the planning.

As a kid, growing up , my greatest fascination was tagging along with my dad and my grandpa listening to stories of giant fish. I am now on a life long quest to prove that all those fishing legends were true.

You’ve started your quest on the right foot!

Welcome Jackofallspecis! Glad you joined us!

I’m thinking next year I’m not going to fish…just motor around with the trolling motor taking pictures and making wise cracks.:p (like HANSON! KEEP THE ROD TIP UP! or JASON, ARE YOU GOING TO PLAY THAT THING ALL DAY?!)

Where else can a fella go and catch something that looks like those sturgeon on a regular basis? AND a chance to land the largest fish of a life time?

Thanks needs to go to Mr. Chris Winchester as he was the fella that shared this hot spot with two websites…Just over 80 people attended in total. Many first time sturgeon fishers…that are now pros!

I have this feeling many photo’s went to work on Monday morning…

Thanks again Chris and to all of those that caught their first sturgeon!
