I’m not a catfish’er by any means, but I thought some of you might appreciate this picture. I was crappie fishing with a Gulp minnow and 6 lb fluorocarbon line when this big cat came calling. It’s 40″ long. My scale doesn’t go that heavy but I’d guess 30 lb. or so. It was quite a workout!

Thanks for sharing John…it’s getting to be about that time!

Best off holding them with one hand in the mouth (flatheads don’t bite or have any teeth to speak of) and use the other hand to support it’s belly. But she’ll survive I’m sure.

That has to be a rod bender on a crappie rod for sure!!

    Congrats!

BK told me the real reason he doesn’t like people holding them that way. Its phallic.

…don’t lie, you just scrolled up to look at that photo again.

I’m not going to lie…I opened another window an googled “phallic”.

It wasn’t in MY dictionary of words.

Oh man recently someone at my college mentioned their surprise at what it meant. Now that I know it made this that much funnier! Just like on Dad’s boat…what’s said on IDO stays on IDO right fellas?
