Just got our rooms booked for next week. Going Sunday through Friday. Got a feeling we will be trailer the boats up river for the 1st part of the week. Nothing wrong with that as there can be some pretty decent fishing up that way. Wouldn’t be surprised to see open water at Wheelers point by the end of the trip. Weather forecast is looking decent to.

Have taken a couple of years off from sturgeon fishing up there. Looking forward to getting back into some huge fish and spending a week with nothing else to do but fish. A person would have to work at not having a good time at LOTWs.

So anyone else going to be up next week during the week? Might have to meet up to share a beer and talk smart about fishing.

BK, one of these years I’m going to have to come up and spend a couple days with you….that beats the crap out of fishing bass and walleyes down here.

Here is a video from our last sturgeon trip in 2011. It had only taken me about 5 years to finely get one over 60″s.

Didn’t fish for them this weekend, but they were all over up there, couldn’t keep them off your line. We fished down river from Frontier.

All 3 were over 50″. Biggest was 57″. We went up for the walleyes but got run out of town by cold and wind. Caught 2 walleyes.

    Good pictures.

Where were you that you found snow this weekend? I had a heavy coating of frost Saturday morning.
