Kevin hows the Wapsi down there for walleyes, here If its under 14 pounds you don’t even want to talk about it.
Wapsi here is a stream right now. About 15 feet wide and a foot deep. Its also all sand/mud, no rock at all. The holes right now are about 3′ deep. I honestly doubt any fish could survive this drought. Up river and downriver there might be some holes/stretches deep enough to hold some fish in this heat but not here. In fact, this time last year I duck hunted the wapsi in knee high boots. Walked right across it no problem. Its about the same as last year.
The wapsi here is known for flatheads and that is about it. There are a couple holes where you can catch SMALL pike, bluegills, crappie, and some channel cats but they aren’t anything to talk about.
