Flathead Journal

So I have been keeping a journal in my boat for the past couple of years of every flathead I have caught and try to mark the time, date, moon cycle, pressure (climbing or dropping), water temp, bait, size of the fish, and depth. I was looking at it last night and thought this would be awesome information to accumulate from other fishermen on a place like this board. I’m not asking you to give out your honey hole but just the basic information. If we could keep this going it would be a great source for us. Include all your flatys even the small ones. Also if you can think of any other information feel free to add it. All of my posts will be from pool 2.

I will start it off with last night, it was slow only one flathead. 13lbs, 10:57 p.m., new moon, 13.05″ pressure and climbing, 6″ bullhead with fins removed, 76 degree water temp, 17 FOW

Good info, hope your idea catches on.

Pressure should be around 29.92″, even when not corrected to sealevel, should be between 28.50 to 30.00″.

    good luck,

    And, Welcome to IDO
