Packing the Sno Suit. 48 degrees for a low tonight. WTH?

Waiting for the wind to die and rain to clear out a bit.

But there is cat slime in my blood and only one way to shake off the jitters.

Hope it’s going to be worth it.

Sitting in the boat now. Heavy winds and bait that is not real great. It sure beats staying home though.

The water is very low. All my spots are high and dry. Looks like a night of running and gunning and try a few new spots. You never know it might be a new go to!

I’ve had 4 lines wet since 930 and not a nibble. Live bullhead, live sucker, cut bullhead cut sucker. Drifted Santee rigs until an hour after dark with cut bait. Since then we’ve tried 3 spots including upstream of a WD and creek mouth. I’m hoping at least the channels will turn on at sunrise. Does feel kinda goofy wearing my striker ice suit and flip flops in July.

    I had a productive night.

Looked up and thought about the stars for a good 45 minutes.

and wondered if it was going to start snowing before I got back to Everts.

Seems like the first time since I was a teenager we have seen temps like this the last week of July. I remember in the 80s as a teen the family went up to 2 Inlets near Park Rapids and the highs were in the 60s. Yuck.

The only redeeming thing about this summer is I picked a good summer to move when I couldn’t get out much.

I was able to get one about 10 or a little below. Poor hit, just picked it up and did not move. I did see a few spots to try and had a group come by bowfishing. Those lights sure mess with your night vision.
