I got a friend of mine on her first channel a few weeks ago and her first flat tonight and also big fish for the night 39×22. A little bit of blood shed but it was all smiles.

Caught one more flathead last night and had a few channels steal my last few bullies. I spent 4 hrs looking for bait yesterday and found a hole full of creek chubs but had a tough time finding any bullies. I ended up down by vados at one point so I stopped in and found out they carry bullheads which ended up saving the night. Everything we caught was on live bullies and nothing on cut bait.

For the people like me, ya thats a good eating size. The belly meat is the prime rib on flatheads, channels its the fillets Mox. Flatheads fillets taste good too but the belly meat is the best, better then channel fillets.

I remember sitting out in the Minnesota humidity swatting skeets waiting for the clicker to take off in my highschool years. Good times, nice fish. – QB
