That’s a tank for upstream of the dam. Nice fish!

What is with the color difference from here in the cities? Could just be coincidental I’m newbie myself to the cat thing but I caught a couple up in Monticello this winter and all the fish I have seen so far north of the CR dam get dark like that. And every one I caught south is your normal looking channel. What’s the deal?

IF the rod in the background was used to catch THAT fish, I hope you have it on video!

I did not catch this fish. This is my brother in laws kid Preston. Yes he caught it by himself with that rod which was bought at a garage sale for 10 bucks brand new. Some type of catfish combo…

I’m thinking I’ll save that photo for when the next person asks my “how much do I have to spend?”

Wait until you catch a gnarly headed male who is ready to spawn. You’ll really wonder what’s going on.
