Mississippi in Brainerd?

    Heading up to the lake this weekend just about 8 miles south of Brainerd. I have all day to fish on Friday, and thinking about droppin in the river for some catfish. Anyone had luck up there or have some info on the where abouts of some channel? What they for bait?

    Leeches or cut sucker. Or sudden impact or secret 7. That’s what I would try. Not sure about that far north though.

    I think I seen that Crow Wing State park looks good. Two rivers confluence and lots of sharp bends in the river.
