I had a hoot of at time fishing with Brittany tonight.
Best night weather wise we’ve had this year. Anchored it was perfect. Light to no wind and just a little cool when moving. Seems like we should of had this weather a month ago.
Water temps are still a cool 60-61 degrees on pool 4. We found the cats in the slack and faster water. Our fishing was far from “on fire” but it was enough to keep my stories on the short side.
I had some funny things happen in my boat over the years. One that comes to mind is the young lady that was knitting while waiting for a flathead bite.
Tonight I was asked for the weeds that caught on the sinker. Brittany likes weeds. Well, the whole story is that she when to school for marine management and enjoy trying to id the weeds that catch on the fishing line. Still, a first for me.
Brittany’s largest fish for the night was a male tipping the digital at a rod bending 9.3 pounds.
Oh yes. I forgot to mention Jesse was along for the ride and was even allowed to land a channel.
Next weekend is Memorial weekend already. Man did that sneak up! We’re looking for some warmer water temperatures by then.
