I got this flathead yesterday while fishing for white bass. Thunked a 3/16th jig and a purple/char tail ringworm. Took photo and released. I also had some decent luck on crappies and white bass. Figure now that hunting season is over, it’s time to dust off the 6’9″ Croix and catch some fish!

Thanks Steve, rub our noses in it! LOL!

Water is 56 degree and forecaster for rain this weekend.

If it’s a warm rain, I just might be taking my semi annual bath early this year.

56 degree water temp means that the flathead should start waking up. The Mississippi is roaring down here, might be heading out on pool 11 this weekend to get after them on the big river. I’ll post pics if the bite is good.

Nice fish Steve, I don’t recognise the spot, whered you get him, Iowa, mississippi, the Cedar?

The water delow the 5 in 1 is perfect for a very good flathead year Steve, keep your eye on it because it won’t be long, Heard of a few smaller ones starting to bite, 5 lbs and under below the dam, within 2 weeks forsure.
