4/0 Octopus J. That’s my go-to for anything channel cat related.

I have some leftover TC Double Action hooks from sturgeon fishing last fall that I can’t wait to try out for channels though.

5/0 to 8/0 circle hooks for channel cats. Let them load up the rod before you try to take it out of the rod holder. Normally they just hammer it and then they will make a turn and head right back at you and you will think you have lost them. Just reel for all its worth, they are still there. I love channel cats.

5/0 and up kahle hooks. Mustad – I am still going ol school

I would rather here the clicker than waiting for a rod to just load up so no circle hooks for me.

Number 5 Team Catfish circle hook. Straight shaft not offset. The offset get hooked to deep.

I’m going to try some 4/0 super J hooks this year for cut bait. I haven’t really settled on one hook style yet, it depends on the bait, what size fish I’m gunning for and what my mood happens to be. I do like a 2 hook rig for strips of cut bait, it really helps keep the fillets on and more than a few were caught on the 2nd hook last season.

Just like steve Gammys 5/0-8/0 circles. Depends on what bait I’m using and how big of chunks I’m cuttin up.
