After a long drive to the cabin today to plow the driveway and epic fail on breaking through the drifts to get out ice fishing one more time. I pulled the pin and decided to head home and look for some cats tomorrow. I was thinking Monticello or elk river accesses would be the easier ones that I can think of with the new snow. I’ll have a open seat if anyone wants to hit the water.

I’m trying for some channel cats in Hudson tonight. I don’t expect to catch anything, but there is a new boat involved

Dbright how is it under the dam nowadays? Did they start that construction on the CR side yet? They said they were to start it march but with this spring and knowing gov. Dates wouldn’t be surprised if it was delayed.

I didn’t end up close enough to check anything out up below the dam. We hit a few creek mouths and a few holes in the side channels in the islands below the dam and 694. I know at the end of march they weren’t working on anything down there.

If by pictures, you mean the boat… here she is. No fish as expected. The beauty of a 115 horse over a 10 horse is that you have a lot more time to catch nothing when fishing five miles away from a landing.

Heading out tonight either on the croix around Osceola or Mississippi out of 694 if anyone wants to try for some cats. Planning on leaving coon rapids around 5or6.

    Targeting channels on the Croix?

I might go out of Boom Island tomorrow, depending on the weather.

Reports are that P4 has been kicking out some flats. for the last week. Hanson, Carla and I had one with some size last weekend.

I’ll be somewhere between the start of the WI back channel and the head of the lake. Hopefully the eye’s don’t start to kick in.

Anyone heading out tomorrow? I have a open seat if anyone wants to get out. I’ve been fishing the croix a lot lately and wouldn’t mind doing pool 2 or the Minnesota.
