Its OK man. We’ll post pics if we catch anything. The water temps at the Mankato gauge have gone from 32 to 42 in a week. Hoping the channels are on a tear!
Those channel still seemed to be pretty thick in the wintering holes on pool 2 earlier this week. Pulled one up about 12#s. So what type of water do you target for active ones when its this cold out?
We’ll try almost anywhere tomorrow, but warmer water should be key. Oxbows, slack sand flats, etc. I think the key is going to be to move around a lot.
Have Caught Channel Cats On Heavy Jigs OR Three Ways In There Winter Holes Stacked Up Suspended Two To Ten Feet Off Bottom. Usually Tip With Sucker Meat Or Couple Fatheads. Water Was Close To Forty Degrees.Pool 4 Good Luck

You won’t be in the river if you are fishing a true oxbow, unless the water is high enough to access it.
My nephew says he’s getting his boat Sunday. We’ve wasted a couple weeks now. He’s already wining about not being able to get out as much because of pool tournaments. Dude has issues.
Well, we went out and sat in the rain and wind as long as we could. Nothing going on. Tried fresh cutbait, stink bait, and crawlers. Not a peep out there. Water is very cold, about 40 degrees.
Need to ditch the lower unit no need to worry about props then. Planning on head out on the miss by st cloud this Friday now that the ramp is open now.
