It is time to start spooling the Tug O War 80 pound Hi Vis braid and screw down the reels on the I-Cat Rods. Fill the tackle box with 4 oz no roll sinkers and 8/0 Super J’s.

Channel cat gear is next in line. By that time I hope it’s going to be warm enough to get the boat seats back in and tidy up the boat after it’s too long of a rest.

It’s getting close and it’s a heck of a lot better then trying to sing!

The fourth is out in the boat already. Always have to have an even number!

Trumar knows I seldom use anything but a 4 ounce no roll, well 90% of the time.

    That’s cold
I hear that there are so many smallies in Mille Lacs you don’t even need a pole to catch them….They eat the walleyes and then jump in the boat, best of both worlds.

hmmm I have nothing heavier than 1oz..gotta remedy that. I picked up a few of these for stinky bait and will be my first time trying it.

Might not need to. I’m fishing 7-8 in live bullheads in current of the Mississippi.

If your fishing a smaller river with dip tubes, 1 ounce might be perfect. Whatever it takes to hold your bait in place.

Don’t do it. It tastes as bad as it smells. Don’t let BK tell you otherwise.

first time using dip worms, I’ll be using sudden impact and sonny’s super sticky bait..it’s not as bad as the stuff from walmart

    Yep, down the road.

I feel the Tekotas are a better made reel and if it was just for me, that’s what I would own. But without the handle engaging the spool it just wasn’t working out for most folks I had in the boat.

Moxi, don’t use a tube with Sudden Impact. Just the treble hook. That’s it.

Hey, just slide that piece of plastic up the leader to the other knot. It will stay there (held by the knot) and you have a big treble hook already tied on. Then, if you want to use the Sonny’s…well, you can figure that one out.

What river you gonna fish over there? Missouri, Big Sioux, Little Sioux, all of the above or a different river. I’d hit some of those big creeks too. You’d be surprized how many nice 5 pounders come out of a 20′ wide creek.
