Heres a few pics from last year during very low water here on the Cedar River. Think many flatheads and channels cruise around those logs at night looking for a meal?

Well I’m not TOTALLY ready…
Boat seats aren’t back from getting recovered.
Wires aren’t back in the boat yet…
4 7000’s to spool with 80 pound Tug O War
and the I-Cat Rods still have the plastic on them.
BUT it can start warming up!
Let the good times roll, let the good times roll
I don’t care if you’re young or old
Get together, let the good times roll….

Thats a nice looking river that that sucker came out of.
Minneopa creek bait runs are the best
I’m so ready for open water. At least this year it looks like we’ll have enough snow melt to bring the Minnesota up to navigable levels.
Nice pole setup, whats the holders notched for, to keep the handles from rolling?

Yours truly honed his carp skills there as a youngster. Many a spring I spent there. A lot has changed since then.
Yours truly also was warned by a game warden there that a treble hook with a split shot jerked hard across the river was not legal.

That will happen when you when get frustrated of being unable to catch them coventualy.
It would be nice if I could read better, Goat!!! not Dfresh,,,is serious about his bait cutting technique Brain, see the meat cleaver beside the walleyes.

The turkey river in N.E. Iowa is about 2 1/2 times as wide and its sucker runs in the spring are really good, Thousands of suckers stop right at the dam and from there down about 4 blocks. Two guys can catch a garbadge can full in a days fishing. I actually do like catching the suckers there, just pull up a lawn chair and a few buckets for the fish and have some fun. Its easy fishing and with crawlers for bait it doesn’t get much easier. Put your feet up on the railing and sip on a pop from the cooler right next to you and Bring a few Balony sandwiches with chips and the whole days nice. Supposed to be in the mid 40’s here starting around friday.

wow, taking shots at the eight year old pug. Bully.
Goat and Fresh. You two are killing me. I know a few of those spots and am getting the itch now and it’s all your fault!!
I’m already taking the river roads home and keeping an on the ice. If you happen to see the tricked out tracker on the rivers this summer be sure to give us a shout. I’m pretty sure it’s the only CatTracker Custom Pro on this stretch of the MN.
